Jerry Pickens, Senior Pastor In 1961, I graduated from Blue Ridge High School in Greenville County, SC. I am married to the former Rebecca Barnette, of Greer, SC, and we have three sons and five grandchildren. My son Greg is a police captain in Union, SC. My son Brad is a crewman for the #5 Nextel car, which Kyle Bush drives. My son Todd is a United Methodist Church minister in Lauerns, SC. I was employed with the Greenville News Newspaper Co. from 1964-1976, and earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Wofford College in 1980. I then earned a Master of Divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary in 1983. I was ordained a full elder in 1985, and have served pastorates in Greer, Easley, Union, Greenwood, Saluda, Abbeville, and Florence, SC, before coming to Aldersgate U.M.C. in June 2006.
