Dr. Regina H. Moore
Coaching Pastor
Having traveled over 20 countries preaching, teaching, and serving on the mission field, Regina H. Moore has served in the local church, Duke University Chapel, and The United Methodist Church’s global ministries headquarters in New York City.
Dr. Moore is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and a past president of the Rotary Club of Forest Acres. She is also a certified coach and published writer contributing to the book These Women Can Say It, Too! Volume 2 edited by Martha Simmons.
Dr. Moore is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management. She also earned her master’s and doctorate degrees from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. Moore lives by the holy words: To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48). She enjoys reading autobiographies, sailing, traveling internationally, and preparing holiday meals for her family, neighbors, and friends.
Shpendi Dani
Maintenance Director
Shpendi Dani came to the United States in 2001 from the country of Albania. His maintenance skillset keeps the Aldersgate campus safe and equipped for effective ministry.
Shpendi has been married to his wife for more than three decades. They have three amazing children and two grandchildren.
His favorite verse is Mark 1:17 “And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” He loves to serve the Lord with excellence in all that he does.
Heather Morrison
Interim Music Director
A recent arrival to Sumter, Heather brings with her a deep passion for vocal artistry and a heart for teaching voice, violin, and piano to students of all ages. A gifted coloratura soprano, Heather’s repertoire spans from early baroque to contemporary works. Her most recent performances include roles in Lola Pierson and Allison Clendaniel’s The Lights Went Out Because of a Problem and as Elyria in Tim Holt’s Nobody is Ever Missing, where Washington Classical Review praised her ability to portray “Elyria’s roaming thoughts” with a “fragile, breathy line” and a presence that captivated.
Heather earned her master’s degree in vocal performance and pedagogy from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University, where she studied under Elizabeth Futral, and her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University with Dr. Lara Troyer. Her performance credits include Despina in Così fan tutte, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and soprano solos in Messiah, Chichester Psalms, Faure’s Requiem, and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem. She has graced the stage with ensembles such as Nightingale Opera Theatre, Berlin Opera Academy, and Miami Classical Music Festival.
We are honored to have Heather serving as interim music director and hosting music students in her music studio here at Aldersgate.
Audio/Visual Technology Team
Ryan Dani, Tony Murphy, & David Shoemaker
Our Audio/Visual Technology Team is comprised of staff members and tech servants.
Ryan Dani - Ryan operates the visuals on Sunday mornings. He enjoys fitness and working with his family on many projects around the church.
Tony Murphy - Tony creates and stacks our worship slides weekly. He also oversees our technical support during worship so that those online and in-person can have a premier worship experience. Tony enjoys grilling and spending quality time with his family.
David Shoemaker - David Shoemaker is our Sound Technician. He is also a sound technician for a number of other events around Sumter. He has worked with a number of local musicians and helps them set up for funerals or other events here at Aldersgate UMC. He loves the drums and his cat.
